The Otterbein University Cardinal Marching Band invites all interested high school band students to join us on Saturday, October 26, 2024 for our High School Marching Band Experience Day. Join us and see what it is like to be in the Cardinal Marching Band.

More details will be sent via email to all those who register as we approach the weekend of the event; but here are some answers to frequently asked questions by parents, guests, students prior to registration.
  • Participation in the Otterbein University High School Marching Band Experience Day is FREE to all high school students. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, football game admission, 2 guest football tickets, rehearsals/activities, & snacks throughout the day
  • Students register for this event individually, so it does not matter how many performers attend from a specific high school (basically, high school band directors do not need to be at the gam for you to participate). Parental permission is required for anyone under the age of 18.
  • The event begins at 8:00am at the Memorial Stadium (Gate B). Details schedule and campus map are available above
  • Dress: Students should wear comfy clothes and appropriate marching shoes (tennis shoes) for the morning rehearsal. Students will change into their respective school band uniform before March Over.
  • Students will need to bring their own instrument or color guard/Twirler equipment. Instrument or equipment questions should be made prior to the event by contacting Dr. Winarski at [email protected]
  • Parents and guests are welcome to join us throughout the day. A ticket to the football game will be required for admittance into the game. Each student will be able to request up to 2 free quest football tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased here - Otterbein vs. Capital Football Game Tickets (Tickets are $8). Participating students DO NOT need to purchase a ticket for entry to the game.
